Philips has brought two of its most popular gaming projectors, the GamePix 800 and the GamePix 900, to two new countries. After being released earlier this year in Europe and North America, these projectors are now available in Australia and New Zealand. Both are designed for gamers who want to play on a big screen with smooth performance, but they offer different features depending on what you need.
Philips GamePix 800 and GamePix 900 come to Australia and New Zealand
The Philips GamePix 800 is built around giving players a strong mix of gaming and entertainment features. It delivers Full HD resolution and can project an image up to 150 inches, which is more than enough for both gaming and movie nights. It is also very bright, with 2500 ANSI lumens, meaning you can use it even in rooms that aren’t completely dark and still get a clear picture.

It also has a 120Hz refresh rate and 8ms input lag, which gamers will appreciate. On top of that, it comes with a Google TV streaming device, so it can double as a smart TV when you want to stream your favorite shows or movies. The projector also uses an LED light source that can last up to 30,000 hours, so you won’t need to replace it anytime soon.
The Philips GamePix 900, on the other hand, is a more powerful projector, supporting 4K resolution for sharper and more detailed images. It also has a 240Hz refresh rate and a low 6ms input lag, which makes it an even better option for gamers, especially those who play competitive games. Aside from that, the project supports HDR10, which translates to better contrast and brightness in both games and movies. However, it can project an image of up to 120 inches only.
